I’m Olivia Harris and I’m a visual artist.
You may have seen my work in Time Magazine, the New York Times, An0ther magazine and the Guardian.
Last year I published my first book Days on Repeat about how Londoners - in the midst of a heatwave - coped with the first lockdown. It’s been bought by the Bodleian library amongst other collectors.
I love the complexity of human beings and the stories we create. I originally trained as a photojournalist for Reuters, covering breaking news across Asia before returning to the UK.
Now I’m finding inspiration from children. I’ve been knocked sideways by the immense power and profound education of motherhood. Babies don’t hide how they feel or what they think. For me, that’s where their beauty lies.
