Plan

We shoot at your home. I find the best results shooting in a space that children already know. I want to capture your child at their most open, direct and expressive.

— Plan the shoot
— Location and final artwork specific equipment
— My approach to the shoot is determined by the child’s character

Create

I like to set aside half a day, but the length of shoot depends on your child and what’s working for them in the moment.

— A two light setup
— Shoot at your home
— Half day shoot

Edit

I take two weeks for the edit. This allows me to really dig into the work. I want to show the depth and range of your child’s character, and make the tough choices about the images so you don’t have to.

— Three editing sessions
— Colour correction
— Retouch

Contact Sheet

After the shoot you will receive a contact sheet (148x210mm) by post with a carefully curated selection of 9 portraits. You use this to select your favourites. Looking at the images in print, rather than on a backlit screen is closer to the final experience and will help you make better choice.

— Contact sheet creation
— Print

Decision Time

I’m on hand to support your image choices. There are a range of frames and mounts to suit your space and style. All frames are bespoke wood frames with UV protective, non-reflective glass.

— You receive contact sheet & Moochi Guide
— You submit your print and frame choices
— I’m available to help with final image selection

Print Making

Your prints will have unrivalled depth and detail. We use ten different blacks, producing literally millions of greys. It’s a world away from the standard digital experience.

— Retouching (mostly crumbs and baby rashes)
— Print prep
— Print management, quality and precision

Framing & Delivery

The prints are shipped to the framer who makes the frames by hand, and perfectly judges the proportions. Creating stunning artwork for your home.

— Shipping prints to the framer
— Managing framing process
— Bespoke frames, made by hand
— UV protective, non reflective glass
— Delivery of frames via specialist art courier
